In honour and in commemoration of Her Majesty the Queen, and the 70 years she served on the throne, Member of Parliament for Sudbury, Viviane Lapointe, will be recognizing Sudbury volunteers with a special limited-edition commemorative pin, and a certificate of recognition.

“Her Majesty the Queen devoted her life to the service of people and the Commonwealth. I believe it is fitting to recognize exceptional community volunteers in Sudbury, in honour of Her Majesty the Queen,” said MP Lapointe.

“If you know someone who has made a significant contribution through their work, volunteerism, activism, or community leadership, please consider nominating them for this once in a lifetime exceptional recognition,” added MP Lapointe.

“It is important to recognize the work of community volunteerism, activism and leadership and make sure those efforts do not go unnoticed. Nominees must be residents of Sudbury, must have made meaningful and significant contributions to the community, and someone who has made a positive impact in the community by way of work or volunteering in, but not limited to, arts and culture, community commitment, environment, heritage, health and wellness, reconciliation in action, entrepreneurship and innovation, and education.
