SUDBURY – Today, MP Viviane Lapointe announced the launch of the Canada Summer Jobs employer application period. Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) provides wage subsidies to employers to create quality summer work experiences for young people aged 15 to 30 years. Employers from not-for-profit organizations and the public sector, as well as private sector organizations with 50 or fewer full-time employees can qualify for the program.
“Canada Summer Jobs provides valuable work experience for youth in Sudbury, while also supporting our not-for-profit organizations and small businesses. It’s a win-win. This important investment in our young people allows them to gain the skills, education and work experience they need to successfully transition into the workforce, while also supporting the economic prosperity of our community,” said Viviane Lapointe, Member of Parliament Sudbury.
