Your Guide to the Canadian Dental Care Plan
Who is eligible?
To qualify for the CDCP, you must meet all four of these requirements:
- You don’t have access to dental insurance
- Your adjusted family net income is less than $90,000
- You’re a Canadian resident for tax purposes
- You filed your tax return for the previous year
When can I apply?
Applications are now open for:
- Seniors aged 65 and over
- Children under the age of 18
- Adults with a valid Disability Tax Credit certificate
- All remaining eligible Canadian residents will be able to apply starting in 2025
What is covered?
Services covered include but are not limited to:
- Preventive services: scaling (cleaning), sealants, and fluoride
- Diagnostic services: examinations and x-rays
- Restorative services: fillings
- Endodontic services: root canal treatments
- Prosthodontic services: complete and partial removable dentures
