Sudbury residents awarded the Platinum Jubilee pin of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

In honour and in commemoration of Her Majesty the Queen, and the 70 years she served on the throne, Member of Parliament for Sudbury, Viviane Lapointe, recognized Sudbury volunteers with a special limited-edition commemorative pin, and a certificate of recognition during a reception on Friday.

“Her Majesty the Queen devoted her life to the service of people and the Commonwealth. I believe it is fitting to recognize exceptional community volunteers in Sudbury, in honour of Her Majesty the Queen. It was an honour to acknowledge and recognize the incredible hard work and dedication of our community volunteers and leaders,” said MP Lapointe.

The list of recipients is as follows:

“It is important to recognize the work of community volunteerism, activism and leadership and make sure those efforts do not go unnoticed. It was an honour to recognize and celebrate those who continue to make outstanding contributions and inspire excellence in our community,” says MP Lapointe.
